Kamara II
Introduced into the Kenya sport fishing scene in 2002 she has consistently been the top boat in Shimoni up until 2013 following which we took a break from charter fishing. Having been built in Cape Town with the rough seas off the Cape in mind she is a wonderful sea boat and ever since she arrived in Shimoni has demonstrated a knack of raising marlin.
At 42-ft (12.5m) long and with a beam of 14-ft she has the largest cockpit of any sport fishing boat in East Africa. As with Broadbill she also has high gunwales, which provide great security for crew and anglers alike. The large fish box on the after-deck with its large double mattress provides a very comfortable place from which to watch the spread from..
With her two 350-hp Caterpillar diesels she has a top speed of 23 knots and a range of around 1,000 miles
